Located in the Middlesex Shopping Center, the Essex Branch has over 14,000 square feet filled with books, CDs, DVDs, magazines and much more. A computer center provides free internet and word processing. Children's computers have a wide variety of stories and learning games for preschoolers. Storytimes, family programs and computer training activities are frequent events. The library is decorated with a Chesapeake Bay theme featuring an aquarium and lighthouse.
