Downloadables eBooks: 3M Cloud Library banner.

Titles from 3M Cloud Library can now be checked out by logging into your library account and searching the library's catalog,
as well as through the 3M apps. You will still need one of the apps below to download and read 3M titles.

From the web, you can browse
the 3M collection, log into
your account and check out
titles, but cannot download

or read them. In order
to download and read
3M titles, you must

first download one of
the apps onto your
PC or device.
         

 

 

3M Cloud Library Borrowing Policies:
 

  • Up to 6 eBooks can be checked out at a time.

 

  • Titles can be checked out for 3 weeks.

 

  • Up to 6 holds may be placed at a time.

 

  • You will be notified by email when holds are ready. Hold notices will be sent to the email address the library has on file for you, which can be found in the Contact Information section of your library account. Once the email notice has been sent, you will have 3 days to retrieve holds.  

 

  • No need to return titles; they will expire at the end of the loan period.

 

  • Returning titles before they expire is possible from within your library account and from the Android and iOS app.
     
  • The PC app does not currently support early returning of titles.
     
  • No renewals are available.

 

 

 

Branches with Discovery Terminals

 

Browse the collection at the Towson and Catonsville branches using the
3M touch-screen Discovery Terminal. 

 

The Discovery Terminal allows you to search for and check out eBooks
from the 3M Cloud Library.

 

When you open the 3M app on your device (and log into your 3M account if needed),
the titles will appear in the app under the My Books tab.

For help with 3M Cloud Library, support requests or any questions not addressed above, please send an email via our Ask a Question form.  Always include as many details as possbile, such as which app you have downloaded (PC, Android, iOS or Nook), the type of device you have (Android, iOS, or Nook) and the nature of any trouble you may be experiencing. 
TIP:  If you are having trouble with one of the 3M apps, try unistalling and then reinstalling the app.  This corrects many issues with the 3M Cloud Library.
